- trip to San Francisco Sep 30, 2026 Hi everyone, Just came back to Europe after 6 weeks in NYC and SF. Wrote some reflections here: It's fascinating how much energy can get sucked out after being around people who don't care or don't know much about life, people, tech etc. I've spent time with my friends who love tinkering, experimenting, making software and tools for people, and who care about all the details and experiences (user, developer, etc.). I had tons of reflections about my profession and tech in general after spending...

sabbatical. 5.5 months in. new app Aug 16, 2026 Hey everyone, Anton here. Writing this update from Dublin. I'm finishing my 4.5 month trip to Europe and going back to the US tomorrow. For now the plan is to spend some time with friends and stay in NYC and SF. But who knows how it all will play out. This past month one surprising thing happened. I launched my own native markdown editor for Mac, iPhone and iPad (with a web version coming soon). It's called Wander . It's pretty cool and I like it so far (used it to write this exact newsletter...
- local first Jul 17, 2026 Hi everyone, Anton here. I've spent 3 weeks in Warsaw recharging, celebrating my birthday and working on my health. Last Saturday I came to Berlin and attended — it's a conference about making software work properly locally first, as opposed to being available only in the cloud on someone else's servers. It's a good conference and I'd wanted to attend it for a while. But here are a few reflections of my own: - Software has become (or maybe always was) very political. Which makes sense, because...
- sabbatical. 4 months in Jul 6, 2026 Hi everyone, Anton here. Last 3 weeks I spent in Warsaw. Recovering after travels and eating jagodzianki . Before that I did a train trip from London to Warsaw via Brussels, Amsterdam and Berlin. Amsterdam really surprised me. I’ve never been before and it’s so beautiful, clean, both modern and historical. Family friendly and also tech first. Amazing stuff! In 5 days I’m going to Berlin to attend Local First Conference . Excited about it and if you are there - say hi. I’m still having fun...

- new start Mar 8, 2026 Hi everyone! Anton here. Few updates from me: - i just quit my job this last Friday. I will probably update my list of beliefs soon after I go through a round of reflections! Also do expect few more essays from me. - I merged newsletters for my private site and - they both are written by me and honestly quite similar. What is my plan: - I will probably work on my own things(unless I find an opportunity where I’m fully aligned on many important things) for a year or so - let's see how it goes! -...
